Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Austris Racing Insights (“we”, “us”, “our”, this site at austrisracing.com) collects when you visit, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it plain on purpose, and we collect only what a small publishing site needs to run.

Information we collect

  • Comments. If you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name, email address, website (if given), comment text, and your IP address. Comments are held for review and may be removed if they are spam or off-topic.
  • Contact forms. If you send a message through a contact form, we receive the details you enter (such as your name, email address and message) by email, and we use them only to reply to you.
  • Technical and security data. Our web host and our security plugin record standard visit information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time. We use it to keep the site running and to block abuse and attacks.
  • Cookies and analytics. The site uses cookies, described below.

Cookies and consent

We use a cookie-consent banner so you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working. You can also block or delete cookies at any time through your browser’s settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Google Analytics and Google Search Console

This site uses, or may in the future use, Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use the site (for example, which posts are read and which countries visitors come from). Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers and collects information such as your IP address, device and browser, and the pages you view. We use this information only to understand and improve the site, and it is not used to identify you personally.

We also use Google Search Console, which shows us how the site appears in Google Search. Search Console reports aggregate search data and does not give us information about individual visitors.

You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of Google Analytics by declining non-essential cookies in our banner or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links, as described on our Affiliate Disclosure page. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We may count clicks on these links, and the retailer or affiliate network may place its own cookies and collect information under its own privacy policy.

Embedded content

Some posts embed videos from YouTube (a Google service). When you play an embedded video, YouTube may set cookies and collect information about your visit under Google’s privacy policy.

How we use your information

  • To publish and moderate comments and to answer messages you send us.
  • To keep the site secure and working, and to prevent spam and abuse.
  • To understand how the site is used so we can improve our content.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site, such as our web host, our security and email services, and Google (for the analytics and search tools above), or when the law requires it. These providers process information under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

Comments stay on the site until they are deleted. Messages sent through forms are kept as long as needed to reply and for ordinary record-keeping. Server and security logs are kept for a limited period.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, for example a comment you left, by contacting us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we will honor them.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
